
Siniša Hrvatin
Founding member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Apertura, Member of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, and Assistant Professor of Biology at MIT
Siniša Hrvatin, Ph.D, brings over 15 years of experience spanning molecular and cellular biology, neurobiology, gene regulation, and AAV gene expression engineering. He led the development of the PESCA platform for screening and rapid identification of enhancer sequences towards precise cell-type-specific gene therapies. As a scientist and entrepreneur, Hrvatin has developed numerous technologies licensed to cell and gene therapy companies and co-founded ReadCube, a technology company that serves millions of researchers by providing access to scientific literature and computational tools to organize and analyze it.
Siniša currently runs a research laboratory at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research and is an Assistant Professor of Biology at MIT.
